I really wish we had more than 4 days in wine country as there were so many places we haven’t ventured to yet. However, in the few days that we were fortunate enough to experience, we covered as much ground as we can possibly cram into our fun schedule. Below are my top spots to check out in Napa!

~ Celadon ~

We spent some time exploring the little shops in downtown Napa, and decided to settle on dining at the American restaurant Celadon since it’s a 4-star Yelp rated restaurant. We are so glad we took a chance on Celadon because it was really one of the best meals we had on that trip. The service was efficient, ambiance was quite romantic, which was perfect for just the two of us.

Know Before You Go: They have a nice and spacious outdoor seating area, which is great for larger parties or lunching out on a nice sunny day.

I am a huge calamari fan, so we split their Flash Calamari as our appetizer.

For my entrée, I ordered their Pan-Seared Sea Bass, which was absolutely delicious. The fish was both juicy and tender and the orange miso broth was really tasty.

~ Olivier Napa Valley ~

Olivier Napa Valley is my favorite little gourmet shop that we discovered while walking along the main street of St. Helena. We spent a good amount of time browsing the shop, sampling their wide selection of olive oils and condiments. In addition to gourmet oils and spices, they also carry other food products, souvenir gifts, artwork, glassware, and much more.

We settled on taking home with us a bottle of their Chunky Parmesan Garlic & Herb Bread Dipper. Our biggest regret was not buying an additional 5 more bottles. It was that good.

Despite numerous efforts between my husband and I, we were unable to secure a reservation at French Laundry. Instead, we settled on touring their nearly 3-acre culinary garden, which surprisingly turned out to be really interesting. The beautiful and well-maintained plots of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers grown in this garden are actually used to serve their diners, so it’s pretty cool to see firsthand where the food comes from. I highly suggest taking even just a quick half hour to explore their expansive garden.

~ PRESS Steakhouse ~

On our actual anniversary day, we celebrated with a lovely dinner at PRESS. It was everything you would expect from a fine dining establishment. Service was impeccable, ambiance was romantic and classy. The food from start to finish were all delicious – in particular, their oysters on the half shell and filet mignon. I highly recommend dining here at least once just to see for yourself {or to celebrate a special occasion!}.

They welcomed us with a lovely congratulatory card and a comfy private booth that overlooks the restaurant.

Their chocolate soufflé was simply divine and nicely presented. Their logo is even printed on a layer of chocolate as seen below.

~ Dean & Doluca ~

As my close friends already know, I love Dean & Deluca and I make it a point to make a stop there every time I’m in NYC. Imagine my surprise when I found one here in wine country!
